The movie Bombay a.k.a. "Bumbai" is directed by Mani Ratnam and was released in 1995.
The music is composed by A. R. Rahman. I personally love "Ek Ho Gaye Hum Aur Tum", but all others are good too. Checkout, if you havent heard them :p
